Insomnia is a strange thing. When I couldn't sleep, I would begin to think about music and my ambitions and become increasingly frustrated both with my inability to accomplish them within the day and the refusal of my body to move onto the next. Being conscious for too long makes one feel like they are drowning in this overwhelming idea of forever. You begin to feel like you've just been living in a very realistic dream where you can't fully control what's going on and all you wish for is to be awakened from the feeling.

I've had quite a few comments on the harmonies during the chorus section. They are odd. I know. I feel they give the song a very awkward feeling, where you almost don't want to hear it. It's quite similar to insomnia, I feel.
